Ok, Here is my dilemma. I need to design some new glassware for fall and winter. But my mind is still in summer mode. Maybe I need to put on Charlie Brown holiday dvd's and become inspired? Just a thought.

Want to have fun. Gather up a few of your girlfriends.Provide a goblet, paint, brush for everyone. Have them paint there own design. Bake, let cool. Pop a cork on your favorite bubbly, and let the fun and gossip begin.. Ahhh...life is good.

When you feel like your are ready to bake your glass. Remember to always place it in a cool oven and let it completely cool before removing.

Use a soft brush. And remember you will have brush strokes.That is the beauty of glass painting. It's not to look like a decal.

Glass paint is user friendly(until you bake it on). If you don't like how your piece looks, wash it off and start over. Once baked though, it's permanent.

tip for the day #3. Don't buy the expensive paints right away when starting your painting on glass journey. That way if you feel it isn't something for you, you haven't put a lot of money into it.

Another tip for just starting out painting glassware. Clean out condiment jars to use as practice pieces. That way you can just toss it out. Painting on glass isn't quite as easy as it looks. So just practice.

Tip of the day for starting out painting on glassware. Practice on an old pane of glass. From an old picture or something of that sort. (be sure to place tape around the sides as not to cut yourself).

I have been painting since I can remember. My motto is if it doesn't move, I'll paint on it. (well sometimes after a long day my dog will have cute tips of his ears. I think he prefers pink...lol).
